Unable to install Kaspersky due to "incompatible software error message" OR "computer might be infected with viruses"

You checked for viruses and nothing was found.
You uninstalled any old antivirus and cleaned registry.

 but still can't install kaspersky... try this
  1. In the bottom left corner of the screen click the Start button.
  2. Next perform the following actions:
    • For users of Windows XP:
      • In the Start menu select Run.
    • For users of Windows Vista/7:
      • In the Start menu select All Programs > Accessories > Run.
  1. In the Run window in the Open field 
  2. enter <cd-rom>:\install\setup.exe /pSKIPPRODUCTCHECK=1
  3. Click on the OK button.

** The "setup.exe" part can be different. Look in the "D:\install " folder first, if it says something other than setup.exe replace it with what you see there
